One of the exciting changes to the 2019 Alpine Rally of East Gippsland is to be the “Koni Super Special Stage” to be held at Bairnsdale Speedway on the Friday 29th November.
It will be the last stage of the day so all the service crews and most officials will be able to get there and see the action up close.
Prior to the competitors arriving, spectators will be entertained by John Hadden’s famous IYK000 Escort, Doug Fernie’s awesome Audi Quattro and possibly a very special Hyundai Accent WRC car. The speedway club will also be doing demo laps in some of their exciting cars as well as providing food from their canteen.
We have substantially changed the layout of the stage this year to lengthen it including some of the surrounding access roads as well as the speedway track itself and added a jump on access to the track surface.
If you can’t make it to catch the action Black Magic Media will be doing a live telecast of proceedings which you will be able to access on the Alpine website.
First competitive car is due to start the stage at 6pm on Friday November 29th and entry is free. Things are getting exciting!
