The 2022 Alpine Rally of East Gippsland will be based in Lakes Entrance and will be held over 3 1/2 days, from 1 to 4 December 2022.

The event is a high speed car rally conducted over closed forestry roads. Competitors will use closed State Forest roads between Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Omeo and Orbost.

The event is run with full permission and support from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), Victoria Police, the East Gippsland Shire Council and Motorsport Australia (formerly CAMS).

Roads will be closed for public use and the public are advised not to visit forests on these dates.

A full list of all road closures will appear in The East Gippsland News in the week prior to the event. Advance warning signs will be placed throughout the forest areas to be used.

More information about the areas to be used, including spectator points, towns we will be visiting and other activities associated with the event, will be published in this website in the months leading up to the event.
