Another look at Alpine Organisers’ old cars – this time Deputy Clerk of Course Steve Hollowood.
Steve was heavily involved in the sport in the 70s and 80s, as a driver initially, but then focusing on navigating and organising. He returned to co-driving in the 90s, sitting next to Father-in-law Norm Fritter in a number of ARC events.
Steve has been part of Alpine since the mid 70s – competing three times (for 2 finishes and one 5th OR) and most often in an official roles, including Event Director in 1984. Steve was Deputy Clerk of Course/Road Director for the 2019 Alpine and is back again for Alpine #100 in 2021.
Steve has obviously spent isolation trawling old albums – and he’s dug up some great pics here… Do you think he likes Datsuns?
