RACV Alpine Trial gets under way

The RACV Alpine Trial Centenary started this morning, Saturday 15 October, from the RACV in Noble Park.

Organised by the Vintage Drivers Club, the event celebrates the Alpine’s centenary, focusing on the Alpines conducted by the RACV between 1921 and 1926. The route will follow, as close as practicable, the route of the 1921 RACV 1000 Mile Regularity Trial.

Cars are of the era – some 42 pre1930 vehicles started from Noble Park this morning. Two cars that started today actually competed in one of the four original events!

They have a big 8 day event ahead:

  • Day 1 – Saturday 15 October 2022 – RACV Noble Park to Traralgon
  • Day 2 – Sunday 16 October 2022 – Traralgon to Lakes Entrance
  • Day 3 – Monday 17 October 2022 – Lakes Entrance to Wodonga
  • Day 4 – Tuesday 18 October 2022 – Wodonga to Bright
  • Day 5 – Wednesday 19 October 2022 – Bright to Mt Buffalo, Harrietville & return to Bright
  • Day 6 – Thursday 20 October 2022 – Bright to Mansfield
  • Day 7 – Friday 21 October 2022 – Mansfield to Healesville
  • Day 8 – Saturday 22 October 2022 – Healesville to Ballarat to Creswick

There will be opportunities to see the cars at Bright and Mansfield – see information on the Vintage Drivers Club RACV Alpine Trial webpage.

Bon voyage RACV Alpine Trial – we hope your week goes well!
